Pool Replastering in Fountain Valley

Fountain Valley, Orange CountyPool & Backyard

A backyard pool drained to its stained, worn plaster, coated in fresh white plaster and refilled, with the blue tile band clean at the waterline. Nine photos before, during and after, several of them from the same spot on the deck.

What changed

Old plaster out, fresh plaster in, then the refill

A replastering job in Fountain Valley, in the order the photos were taken. The concrete deck and coping around the pool look the same in every frame.

  • Before. The pool was drained, which exposed old plaster that was stained, mottled and worn across the floor, the walls and the steps, with a pale tile band at the waterline.
  • During. The whole basin, entry steps included, was coated in fresh white plaster while the pool was still empty.
  • After. The pool was refilled. The water reads clear turquoise, and the new plaster shows through it on the steps and the floor.
  • Waterline. The blue mosaic tile band at the waterline reads pale in the drained shots and blue under water.
  • Deck and coping. The concrete deck and the coping look the same before and after.

The back corner, side by side

Both photos look toward the same corner, with the sago palm, the block wall and the equipment box in frame. The after was shot a little closer and lower.
